So, I am inbetween projects at the moment, and have been looking around to see what others have been doing, and I was very very tempted by Saartjie’s Booties. Then it hit me.
Chris just became an uncle for the fourth time last week, so now I have a baby (someone else’s baby) to knit for. I must however, do so quickly so as to finish them before she gets too big.
I’ve already started, instead of doing my French Lit reading.

The pink is going to be the MC and the gold, the CC. I will have to find buttons, as the pattern calls for 4. Maybe something pink…

…That are so subtle are often difficult to capture on film.
Take, for example, this: Quant from knitty. Which, by the way has become my new best friend.

The colors just aren’t coming throught on digital imagery. The greens and blues look muted, but they are actually vibrant and bold. Thre is even some periwinkle purple, but it too looks, well, blah. Kinda blue.

So in response to my lovely, amazing, caring friend to the north, I am now going to try and be less boring.
Today I had a Geology exam. It was easy and I finished in about 20 minutes.
I have tons of homework to do this weekend, the list is as follows:
-
Write a 5 pg autobiographical essay in the style of French author Nathalie Sarraute
-
Read “W ou le Souvenir D’enfance” by Georges Perec, at least 1/2
-
Read Acts IV-V in Le Cid by Corneille
-
Write a response to each act
-
Read 2 stories from Krik! Krak! by the Hatian-American author Edwidge Danticat
-
Read the first 3 Chapters in Art History by Stokstad
-
Make flash cards and study for the image ID quiz I have next week
Sounds fun, huh?

So. I’m new at this blogging thing, but I started one because I have recently become obsessed with reading others, and I have come to the conclusion that in starting my own, I just might be able to keep up on my projects. I am one of those ADD knitters, I get really excited about a project for like a week, then I either get bored with it and stop, or start something different. At any given time I could have 2-5 projects in limbo. Hopefully this weekend I’ll be able to take some pictures and make this that much more interesting to any readers. It feels weird to think that I’m here writing this and that someone might actually take time out of their day to read this. Sorry if you think I’m boring!
